For homebuilders, LPG is the most cost-effective fuel to replace mains gas for any off-grid development. It’s also the nearest in terms of usage.

Why choose LPG?

First, it costs from just £500 per plot to install, with no hidden extras. This makes it one of the cheapest off-grid heating options.

Next, it’s the cleanest of all the fossil fuels and lets you meet energy and environmental standards. Another benefit of LPG is that it runs on a boiler that’s the same size as a standard mains gas boiler, which includes having the same flue clearance.

This means you can still use your standard house plans used for properties on mains gas.

When you’re building a development, you obviously want it to be attractive for prospective homeowners. LPG helps you do just this. It provides the heating and cooking benefits they’re used to from mains gas.

Just as importantly, you can design your development with one or more communal LPG tanks, which frees up space on each property for a larger garden.
